What type of cabling solution should I have installed ?

When choosing a new cabling system the first priority is to decide upon performance to satisfy today’s technology or to pay a premium for future proofing for tomorrow.

Generally structured cabling systems fall into two categories, high end headroom performance, usually a proprietary system, and baseline headroom performance, normally a hybrid system.

The high end headroom performance system exceeds the industry headroom requirements providing future proofing for tomorrows’ technology and the baseline system meets the minimum industry headroom requirements, and is suitable for today’s technology

The three systems as shown below are all high end headroom product sets with a first class pedigree in the UK market, each underwritten by manufacturers warranties and each offering unique niche solution options.

Systimax
A product offering excellent design and manufacturing processes, thus producing a high performance solution with good performance headroom, far in excess of the baseline industry standards, and a 20 year extended product warranty and application assurance.
Brand-Rex
A high quality product with good performance headroom with a 25 year application performance warranty, this assures quality.
ADC Krone
A well designed and made product with good performance headroom outperforming other solutions and a 20 year manufacturer supported warranty verifies confidence in quality.

What is the difference between the system warranties?

Structured cabling system Warranties
There are two types of structured cabling warranties, the first being a manufacturer's warranty which underwrites a component system manufactured by a single company with a design and quality build heritage, invariably associated with high end headroom performance.

The other is a distributor warranty, often supporting a comprise hybrid of different manufacturer’s products, with the warranty being underwritten by the reseller/distributor and reciprocated to each manufacturer of each of the different component parts of the system.
